Hi, I'm Mel Thomas. I’m a writer and cultural critic. Most people know me from my video essays, which I publish all over the web as pagemelt.

I also have a day job. I've worked as a UX designer for the past decade. Before that, I earned my BFA in studio art from the University of Louisville.

I spend most of my free time reading and writing. I also like to cook, play pinball, go on hikes, and drink craft beer.

I live in Kentucky with my husband and our dog.
