What's Meltdown?

Meltdown is my blog-slash-newsletter. I use it to make announcements about big projects (video essays! zines! fanfic!) and also to exorcise stray thoughts.

Subscribe to my RSS feed to get these posts sent straight to you.

What's RSS?

RSS stands for really simple syndication. It's a plaform-agnostic feed, kinda like my own tiny radio signal. You know how you can find podcasts on any podcast-listening app? That's because podcast-listening apps are actually aggregators, pulling from a directory of publicly available RSS feeds. But it's not just for audio—RSS can handle text and images too. Before social media ruled the web, people used RSS readers so they wouldn't have to check all their favorite blogs manually.

In 2025, RSS is a powerful tool because it allows creators to communicate directly with their subscribers. If you subscribe to my RSS feed, you won't have to depend on an algorithm to show you my content.

How Do I Subscribe?

  1. Choose an RSS reader and create an account. I like Inoreader and Feeder.
  2. Your reader should have an "add feed" option. Plug my feed's address into it: https://pagemelt.zone/rss.xml.
  3. That's it! You should start seeing updates from me shortly.
  4. Follow other creators you like. If they have a blog or newsletter, chances are they have an RSS feed too.
